Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

There's no better time of the year to indulge in a luxe holiday dress than now, with all the lace, sparkle and silk that's come to light in dark sultry shades, and an occasional winter white thrown in the mix.

No matter your budget, we've rounded up 15 boutiques and stores in Miami to shop for a killer dress, from a simple sheath at places like Sandro and BCBG to little statement pieces from boutiques like Touch in the Upper East Side and Cavalier in the Gables. They're arranged from north to south so you can easily spot your favorite "dress"-tination, however there's always room for alterations. Let us know where your favorite place to find holiday dresses is, and we'll keep it in mind for the next round.

Miami may not be considered the "Deep South," but it doesn't mean we don't like a little bit of charm here and there. Come to one of their five South Florida locations, from Broward to Kendall, if you're looking for flattering, comfortable and brightly printed dresses that are perfect for meeting the parents, office parties, or friendly gatherings. Is there an occasion you can't wear a wrap dress to? The newly opened DVF pop-up in Aventura Mall is part retrospective, part full boutique, and you can find anything from the brand's signature flattering style to long and sparkly evening wear. Can't find what you seek? There's also a DVF store within Bal Harbour Shops.
Always in style, but never over the top, investing in a dress from Sandro is a sound choice; one that could prove useful for years to come. Frocks from here edge more on the cocktail party dress side, but can be dressed down enough to wear to work once daylight hits. [Photo]

Anthropologie

For a dress that makes a statement without being too va-va-voom, there's always Anthropologie. The Aventura store has a pretty large petites section, with mini-sized (yet forgiving!) frocks that rival their normal sized counterparts, not to mention a treasure trove of a sales section. Come here for dresses that teeter between classic and bohemian, but always fall immensely feminine. [Photo>]

White House Black Market

Classic silhouettes, go-to colors (cue black, white, and an occasional red), and comfortable fabrics; find your go-to Christmas cocktail dress at this or one of White House Black Market's other locations at The Falls, Dadeland Mall, Merrick Park and The Shops at Pembroke Gardens. [Photo]

LooksbyLo

LooksbyLo has a constantly revolving selection of cute dresses for day and night at prices you can't beat. The boutique's shoe selection is on point as well, so consider your head to toe look a done deal. [Photo]

Touch Boutique

For when you do want that va-va-voom effect (because the holidays always brings everyone together- including your ex), there's Touch Boutique, offering affordable body-con options with neck-turning results. Check out their house brand, Deliano, which was founded by Touch's owners and already has a legion of fans, including Local 10's Constance Jones, and Justin Bieber's girlfriend.
Spending and looking like a million bucks are two different things, and A'gaci gets that. Come here for trendy mini dresses, all under $40! [Photo]

Guess by Marciano

When it comes to a sexy cocktail dress, Marciano never disappoints. With additional locations in Dadeland Mall, Aventura Mall and Dolphin Mall, the brand has all its grounds covered when it comes to showcasing mini hemlines, versatile maxi dresses, and curve-hugging silhouettes. [Photo]

If you're a fan of Elizabeth and James, Bailey 44, and Zimmerman (to name a few) Cavalier is the boutique for you, perfectly curated to bring you the most Miami chic items from today's hippest contemporary brands.

BCBGMAXAZRIA

Sleek cocktail dresses, sexy gala gowns- this is the bread and butter of BCBG, and with additional locations at The Falls, Aventura, Pembroke Gardens and an outlet at Sawgrass Mills, there's no doubt you'll find an option for any holiday soiree in styles and silhouettes you can no doubt reuse again and again. Delia's has a solid grasp on the teen market, but it doesn't mean that its A-line silhouettes can't satisfy adult frames, especially if you're looking for something under $100. Expect sparkle, tulle, and lots of sweetheart necklines. Photo]
Attire at Caché is not for the casually dressed, so if you're looking to wow the crowd with a sheath that sparkles or a classic quarter sleeve wrap, head on over. [Photo]

Free People

When body-con won't do, bohemian suits just fine. Free People's winter dresses err on the dark side, and when paired with a bold lip, could make for a dramatic photo in front of the tree (the pine one, not the palm).
If your sole purpose this holiday season is to be on trend, then look no further than Zara, and now that they've tacked on a new Lincoln Road location to the two they had previously (Collins Avenue and Dadeland Mall), finding that minimalistic shift dress of your dreams should be no problem.
