Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sadly, one fact rings true in Miami. Boots are not essential for fall. That being said, they also aren't frowned upon either. While it is completely appropriate to sport sandals through March, it doesn't mean you can't tie on a pair of this season's hottest knee-highs, or make a pair of low-heeled, suede and buckled booties be your go-to.

To simplify your search, we've rounded up ten stores that are on their boot game this season. It's chain-heavy, we're aware, however this season we feel the stores we chose have outdone themselves when it comes to boots, whether we're talking classic leather riding versions or high-heeled python beauties. Click through to browse through our map, arranged from north to south, and let us in on your favorites in the comments.

Donald J Pliner Concept Shop

Donald J Pliner's boots are as comfortable as they are stylish, and his price point is unusually low for a brand in the luxury shoe category. He uses interesting textures, from python to calf hair, so expect your kickers to stand out in a sea of average boots. He has another location at Dadeland Mall.
Unfortunately for some, boots are certainly not a year-round trend in Miami, so splurging on a super trendy pair might not be the most cost-effective way to amp up your wardrobe. Fortunately, there's Aldo and its infinite supply of ankle boots, wedge boots, laced boots, and any other trendy version you could think of, most under $100. Bonus? There are five Miami locations, including its Dolphin Mall outlet.
