Sandals are to Miamians what snow boots are to the ten people who live in Antarctica: absolutely, without a doubt, essential. Where else in the country are open toe shoes office-appropriate year-round, or are winter sandals, made of luxe fabrics like pony hair and suede, a thing?

Not too long ago we hand-picked the 19 best places to buy shoes in Miami, but now that summer's ablaze, we're fine-tuning our list to include only some of the best stores to buy killer sandals at, from the new "ugly" contenders to the mighty high and upscale. Click through for the full map, and let us know if you'd add any to our list.
