Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Sometimes you don't want to worry about booking a cycling class or making it on time to bootcamp. All you want to do is plug in your headphones, pump iron in your claimed corner of the weight room, and then sprint for a good 20 minutes on a treadmill with other likeminded folks who are over boutique fitness and its outrageous prices.

Don't get us wrong; we get as excited as the next fitness junkie when a new Pilates studio opens here, a new boxing gym opens there. But sometimes you just want the freedom to do whatever workout you'd like, at whatever time you'd like, and with as many breaks or moments of intensity as you see fit. Below, we've rounded up the best 12 gyms and fitness clubs in Miami for any budget, whether you only have $10 a month to spare for the bare basics or you're willing to splurge on amenities like Khiel's bathroom products and top of the line classes.
