Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It was damn right time that Target launched another designer collab, now that we've had time to recover from the Lim-steria that transpired in September. This time the mega retailer decided to go with Peter Pilotto, a brand that, while well-known in the fashion world, may leave the average gal about town saying "Peter who?" But not to worry folks. Between Racked National's preview of the collection and our tips on how to conquer its Sunday release, you'll be able to tell your friends who Peter Pilotto is, why they should care and when they should meet you to get in line. But first...

Who is Peter Pilotto?
The first thing you need to know is that Peter Pilotto is not run by a single person, but by two people: Peter Pilotto and his partner-and-crime, Christopher De Vos. Peter has a background in graphic design while Christopher studied architecture before switching to fashion, which perfectly explains why their pieces are so architecturally sound and robust with patterns.

Who wears Peter Pilotto?
The brand is a red carpet regular, having been worn by the likes of Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence, Miranda Kerr, Emma Watson, Kerry Washington and even Michelle Obama.

What should you expect?
Our city is not for the dully dressed, and the blast of patterns emanating from Peter Pilotto's pieces just scream "MIAMI." Expect dresses in sharp yet ladylike silhouettes, layers upon layers of kaleidoscopic floral patterns and swimwear so nice you'll be tempted to wear the tops as crops. Every piece is fun, flirty and energetic and it's feminine without being too serious. The patterns all seem to flow together without being overwhelming and garments transition easily from day to night, and work to play.

Which Targets are Carrying it?
All Targets in Miami Dade county are carrying Peter Pilotto pieces, albeit in different quantities. When asked what they expected the crowd would be like on the release date, the answer from managers across the board was one of uncertainty as the brand isn't as known as others. Try to go in with an idea of which piece you want and consider that not every Target will carry the entire collection. Click through the map to find out what to expect on Sunday at each Target in the 305.

Note: We'll be updating this page as the sale goes on. Stay tuned!
