A 1920s Game Night, Deep House Yoga, and More Miami Events This Week

If there's any month where you need to get outside of your house in Miami, it's March. One, it's Shop Miami Month and local malls are hosting a bevy of events to get the party going. And two, the weather is perfect– which means that outdoor events like the Miami Flea and a Wynwood coffee fest are perfect ways to spend the day. Here are a few events on our radar this week.

Wednesday, March 9th

COCONUT GROVE– For many of us, weekday life becomes a monotonous pattern of work, sleep and more work. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens wants to change that by putting on a 1920s game night in the gardens. Expect lawn bowling, yard dice, croquet. jazz, food, and vintage-inspired cocktails. Dressing up is encouraged. AVENTURA– Nothing is better than having some fun and knowing that it's going to good cause. Come out to The Grill on the Alley in Aventura Mall for Styled Mixer for a Cause, a night of fashion and light bites. The event begins at 6:30pm and a $25 donation at the door is encouraged. Thursday, March 10th

AVENTURA– Model-turned business maven Kimora Lee Simmons is hosting a fashion show at Aventura Mall. There will be drinks, a DJ and you might even get the chance to meet her! WYNWOOD– Coffee Shop: Brews & Tunes is possibly the closest thing we'll ever get to a coffee festival, as a ton of local coffee pop-ups like Panther and Mister Block, will be providing liquid caffeine jolts to guests. Sip on coffee with your friends while listening to local music, and maybe discover a new favorite brew. The event starts at 8pm and is free to attend, however you must RSVP here. Friday, March 11th

MIAMI BEACH– If you think deep house is reserved for just nightclubs and music festivals, then you've never downward dogged to a sick beat. Join the folks at The Standard Spa on Friday for H2-OM: Deep House Yoga. The instructor will take you through a series of mantras, affirmations and postures while a DJ spins the zen tracks. Saturday, March 12th

AVENTURA– As part of Shop Miami Month, Sephora and Smashox are teaming up to throw the ultimate photo event at Aventura Mall. On Saturday, spend $75 and score a complete makeover and photoshoot with celebrity photographer Steven Khan. Besides having a perfect selfie, you may even pick up some make-up techniques that you'll use for years to come. Sephora, 19575 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, FL.

CORAL GABLES– Diamonds are a girl's best friend, right? Sydney Evan, an acclaimed jewelry line worn by Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, and Jennifer Lawrence, is hosting a trunk show at Neiman Marcus at the Shops at Merrick Park from 10am to 5pm. Sunday, March 13th

DOWNTOWN MIAMI– The Miami Flea is back, folks, and this is not like the tacky flea market your grandma dragged you to back in the day. It's a curated market of some of Miami's best local vendors, from fashion lines to beauty brands, and from home goods to food products.
