Jugofresh's South Miami and Coral Gables locations are officially closed as of yesterday, but it doesn't mean there's any less Jugofresh to go around.

The Miami-bred juice brand has set out to accomplish quite the endeavor: opening three Whole Foods shop-in-shops in 30 days. You'll remember that Jugofresh opened its first shop-in-shop just one year ago with the opening of Whole Foods in Downtown Miami, and it was announced shortly after that Jugofresh would be opening five more counters at the organic grocery store. Aventura and Boca Raton have already opened and, as mentioned, the other three will be opening within the next month.

The Whole Foods partnership has greatly benefitted Jugofresh but its founder, Matthew Sherman, tells to Miami New Times the greatest benefits have been "the customers, the access to fresh produce, and great mentorship from Whole Foods."

The first of these shops will be opening on Monday, January 11th at Whole Foods in Coral Gables, so City Beautiful residents can rest assured that they'll still be able to get "Sunset Harbour" bowls and "Kaleito" smoothies even though the seven-month-old Ponce shop has closed.

To celebrate, the first 50 customers will receive a gift card ranging from $12 to $500 in value and 10 percent of sales during opening week will go to its Lil Gardens, Big Futures program, which creates gardens and educates on nutrition at Miami Dade elementary schools. If you head to any of Jugofresh's other Miami locations, you'll receive a "feel good card," which you can use for a juice on the house once it opens.

The next Jugofresh counters to open will be opening inside Whole Foods South Beach on January 25th and then at Whole Foods San Souci on February 8th.
