SOUTH BEACH– The Art Deco Museum will be launching a new exhibit, Flashback Fashions from teh 1970s to Today, focusing on vintage clothing, fashion ads, pages from magazines like Life and Vogue, and pop culture references like Gianni Versace and Miami Vice. The exhibit opens on Thursday and will run through January 3rd. It's $5 at the door but free for students and Miami Beach residents. Art Deco Museum, 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL.
BAL HARBOUR– On Thursday, Ocean Drive Magazine and Perez Art Museum are having a boozy event at Rag & Bone at Bal Harbour Shops. Join Ocean Drive EIC Jared Shapiro, Cervera Real Estate's Christopher Adeleke, and Vivienne "Bibi" Pestaña of Yo Love 305 from 7 to 9pm for some cocktails, live spinning, and shopping. 10 percent of proceeds benefit the museum. BRICKELL– Gone is the overabundance of Irish pubs in Brickell; it's time for some glitz and glamour. El Tucan is opening its much anticipated Caribbean-themed theatre restaurant, with a major party on Friday and Saturday, There will be live entertainment (the costumes were designed by Miami fashion personality Danny Santiago), boozy cocktails, food, and live music. Opening weekend features a resident 12-piece Latin orchestra reminiscent to the big bands of the jazz age. COCONUT GROVE– It's the first Saturday of the month, which means Fashion Art and Music night (FAM Night) is upon us! From 6:00pm to 9:00pm, various neighborhood fashion boutiques, art galleries, salons and restaurants will offer special surprises, and there will be live music and paintings on the streets. SOUTH BEACH– In October, we wear pink. This Sunday, head over to the Hyatt Centric South Beach for a Stella & Dot Breast Cancer Boutique hosted by Miami It babe Angeles Alumna and brought to you by the Noreen Fraser Foundation. 100 percent of the trunk show profits will benefit breast cancer research, and there will be cocktails.
