Touristy Washington Avenue Has Scored Three Cool New Stores

Fitness, vintage eyewear, and swimwear stores on deck.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

When Dash moved off of Washington Ave., even we thought the club-lined street was a goner, but The Real Deal reports that two new stores have opened on Washington Avenue, and one is on its way.

Already open is Labellamafiaa Brazilan activewear company with very bold leggings and body-builder approved bikinis and dresses. On social media it claims its a pop-up, however a store employee tells us that it is here to stay at 831A on 8th St., adjacent to Washington Ave.

Also already open is True Vintage, a really cool eyewear store that specializes in vintage frames. From what we can tell the space, 811 Washington Ave., looks pretty cool on Instagram. Stay tuned as we'll give you the full walkthrough once we gather more intel.

Slated to open next month is OMG Swimwear Miami, a store that sells pretty cheeky swimwear for risqué lycra lovers. It will be just a few doors down at 815 Washington Ave.
