Here's something that will bring you to Coconut Grove on a Saturday (besides a boozy brunch): a major vintage designer sale featuring brands like Chloe, YSL, and Jimmy Choo for way less (think $300 for a Valentino handbag, or $750 for a classic Chanel boucle jacket). We're talking about the Fashionably Conscious designer sale and, like last year, this is one charity event you surely shouldn't miss.
Now in its 8th year, the sale will take place at CocoWalk from this Friday, September 25th, through Sunday, September 27th. Head to the second floor, right next to the former Cheesecake Factory space, to score deals on hundreds of designers. All of the percent of the proceeds benefit Coconut Grove Cares' The Barnyard Community Center, which provides free vital services (like after school programs) to the children and families of the historic West Grove community. Last year they broke the $100 thousand mark, and this year it's looking even bigger.
So here's how it works: there's a ticket fee to get in depending on which day you're planning to go. To attend Friday's VIP preview sale from 6 to 9pm, there's a $25 entry donation fee. On Saturday, the entry fee is $10 to shop all day from 11am to 5pm. But if you're really trying to save here and don't mind the risk of losing out on your favorite designer find in your size, prices are slashed on Sunday from 11am to 3pm, as is the entry fee (to $5)!
We'll have a full recap of what you can find here at the end of the week, so stay tuned!
