If you grew up in Miami in the 90s or 2000s, your idea of "going all out" for your quinceñera was probably taking your pictures at Vizcaya and adding a few smoke machines to your grand entrance. But in today's Quinceñera world? Honey, those are just the basics, and TLC's newest reality show, Sweet 15: Quinceñera, exposes the wild, over-the-top, insanely ludicrous world of Bella Quinces, Miami's top store for all your quinceñera needs.
The show follows cousins Alexis Fernandez and Jarling Perez as they help Miami's Latina teens transition into womanhood. In the promo, released by People, you'll see a barrage of poofy, colorful gowns (which is weird because don't most Miami quinceñeras wear white?), highly emotional parents, and the most ridiculous photo shoots ever for a 15-year-old, which involve gators, white horses, and snow. Yes, snow. In Florida. It's like the 70s all over again, only not.
The show premiers on November 3rd at 10pm on TLC. Until then, you can fill the void by watching these highly produced, kind of awkward music videos of quinceñeras pretending to be rockstars.
