And right when Italia Independent lays claim to being the newest eyewear store to have opened in Wynwood, Illesteva swoops in and steals its thunder. The eyewear company opened over the weekend in Wynwood, right next to where the future Shinola store will be.

Not only does the store carry Beyonce-, Kendall Jenner-, and Rihanna-approved shades and optical frames, it also carries a broad range of Illesteva products, from artsy umbrellas to the most stylish backpacks you've ever seen. (Seriously though, the backpacks are ogle-worthy).

Illesteva frames are handmade in Italy and start at $177. While the brand's frames are unique, the simple, open-spaced store even has a customizable station, where you can build your own set of printed or solid frames. That's something you won't find in many other local sunglass stores.
