Free People's Largest East Coast Store Is In Fort Lauderdale

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Free People loves Florida, so much so that it's decided to open its largest east coast store right here in sunny Fort Lauderdale. You can now stroll into The Galleria mall and enter Boho babe territory, filled with oversized sweaters and tunics, ethereal dresses, lingerie and nightwear from its Intimately Free People collection, and, get this folks, shoes!

There's a "White Shop" where you can score the perfect all-white summer (or winter?) look, an "Indigo Shop" where you can perfectly string together a chambray and denim getup, and plenty of floral and ethic patterns throughout the store. Aesthetically, the look and feel is similar to Free People's Dadeland and South Beach locations, with reclaimed floors, gold feather chandeliers, and light maple wood displays and shelving. It's the ultimate "Boho Bungalow" so check it for your next Stevie Nicks-inspired getup.
