Non-Harmful Kids Clothing Store Hanna Andersson to Open at The Falls

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Falls is definitely the mall to shop at if you have kids, with an Abercrombie Kids, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, and American Girl store. But if you're an eco-obsessed mom or dad who's worried about what your toddler is putting on his or her body, then you'll be happy to know that Hanna Andersson is opening up shop at the mall within the next few months. No date has been scheduled yet.

To brief you, this Portland-based brand has Swedish roots and offers clothing and accessories (like back to school backpacks) for babies and children. Everything is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, which means its been tested for over 100 substances and chemicals known to be harmful to humans. It's not the same as being organic, however some of the baby onesies are made out of organic cotton.
