Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
No one knows at-home services like celebs, so trust that The Glam App's founders, actress, blogger, and girlfriend to Jesse Metcalfe Cara Santana and celeb hair and make-up stylist Joey Maalouf, have your face, hair, and nails covered. This new app launched on Friday just in time for Swim Week, and brings beauty on demand services to all areas of Miami. (Yeah Kendall, Doral, and Miami Lakes babes, we're told you're covered)!
So how is this app different from the luxury focused Vensette and the every gal's beauty go-go, Glamsquad? Neither of the above offer manicures and pedicures, and The Glam App goes so far as to offer gel manis and pedis from the comfort of your own living room. Plus, The Glam App gives you the option of choosing the level of your stylist. Services start at $40 for a BSG stylist with one year of experience and/or a beauty school education, $65 for a JRS stylist with two to five years of experience, and $80 for a VIP stylist with over five years of experience. Each individual service won't run you more than $100.
When it comes to hair, The Glam App offers the basics– beach waves, pin straight, bombshell curls, braids and buns. As for makeup, you can choose anything from a "No Make Up, Make Up" look to extreme contouring. The Glam App isn't currently available on Androids, but if you're a lucky iPhone user, you can go ahead and download it here to give it a spin.
