The Magic Mike XXL cast made a pit stop in Miami yesterday for an advanced screening of the movie and were awarded Miami's highest honor in the world of entertainment: a star on Bayside Marketplace's Miami Walk of Fame. Folks, it doesn't get better than this.
Channing Tatum, Jada Pinkett Smith, Adam Rodriguez, Joe Manganiello (sans Sofia Vergara, his fiancé), Matt Bomer, and Gabriel Iglesias were all here to soak in the glory of this stripped down film, which actually takes place in Tampa. Channing, Jada, and Adam each got their own stars, and the film itself got one too.
Plus Mayor of Miami Carlos Gimenez awarded the cast keys to the city. As Cosmo puts it, this is like "Miami's way of telling them 'You guys can just come back anytime you want, seriously. Feel free to raid the fridge when you're here, too. Whatever. No biggie.'"
Oh, and we can't forget this little detail: Both Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello support the South Florida Firefighter's Calendar. Ugh. They're perfect.
To thank the city, Channing Tatum danced for fans and media folks at the screening to Ginuwine's "Pony." Joe jumped in and gave a little shake too. Stripping was not involved. Bummer.
