Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With the addition of Zthea, there are more eyewear stores within a square mile in Wynwood than there are salons, gyms, and coffee shops separately. That's not a bad thing. Zthea brings to Wynwood a repertoire of designer eyewear brands and exclusives that no one else carries, so retire ye ol' bifocals and read on.

Between its two owners, Marilyn Ravelo and Adriana C. Lukasik, Zthea packs in 53 years of experience. Marilyn was co-owner of the Beyoncé-approved Etnia Barcelona, while Adriana managed retail operations for one of Miami's most prestigious eyewear companies for 18 years. The two combined their efforts to open this quaint Wynwood store, adorned with vintage trunks and exposed brick walls to encapsulate some amazing sunglasses and frames.

Big brands you'll find here include Prada and Prada Sport, Miu Miu, Fendi, Celine, Illesteva, and Ray Ban, but skim over those and explore the brands they carry exclusively in the area, like Dita, Barton Perreira, Thierry Lasry, and of course, Etnia Barcelona. They'll be introducing more collections within the next few months, so watch out for those.
