While most people are boating and beaching on Memorial Day, others are plotting pet store robberies. On Monday, a Dachshund puppy was stolen from Petland in Pembroke Pines and the suspect was allegedly caught on camera, Channel 7 News reports.
According to Petland's surveillance video, the subject walked in around 3:40, asked to see the puppy, and by the time an employee came back with the information the suspect had requested, he was gone along with his accomplice.
Employees say this is the second time this has happened over the past year at this chain pet store location. Channel 7 reports there may be a $3,000 reward for whoever finds the mangy thief, so start sniffing around.
