Simon Property Group, which is behind some of South Florida's most lucrative malls like Dadeland, Miami International Mall, and Sawgrass Mills, has partnered with Whitman Family Development (the company that founded Bal Harbour Shops) to develop the retail portion of Brickell City Centre.
"The curated retail selection at Brickell City Centre will be a mix of premium and luxury to cater to both the international visitor and full-time resident," a Swire spokesperson tells us. "This is a strategic alliance to offer the most versatile shopping experience at Brickell City Centre. We've partnered with luxury developers, the Whitman's, and the largest and most experienced retail developer and operator, Simon."
This is huge. Between Simon's premium shopping portfolio and Whitman's expertise is luxury, it looks like Brickell City Centre seems like it's going to be a well-rounded retail arena that will cater to both big spenders and quality-seeking shoppers who aren't looking to break the bank.
