Your First Look Inside Nordstrom Rack Midtown Miami

Nordstrom Rack opens at 8am tomorrow morning with tons of giveaways, but we dropped by to shop at its exclusive VIP shopping event last night. It's big, but not overwhelmingly big, so you can be in and out within the hour and feel like you covered every nook and cranny before a friendly cashier rings up all your deeply discounted purchases from no matter where you are in the store. (Hear that? No lines)!

There's a lot of space when you first walk in, so you can decipher what area you want to attack first. To the right you'll venture into Nordstrom's handbag paradise, with discounted selections from Furla, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and more.

Straight ahead is the women's section, which spans about half of Nordstrom Rack. It's divided into plus size, contemporary, and dresses with a small fitness and swimwear area. Brands we found included Trina Turk, Alice & Olivia, Betsey Johnson, Adidas by Stella McCartney, Free People, Paige Premium Denim, and Joe's Jeans, but most of the merchandise featured is from lesser known brands.

To the left you have lingerie, cosmetics, jewelry, and accessories. In the cosmetics department you'll find shelves dedicated to Neutrogena, Khiels, Bliss, Philosophy, nail kits and OPI nail polishes, and small makeup kits from brands like Two Faced. In the accessories section we found some cool House of Harlow pieces, Kate Spade earrings, Dogeared necklaces, and $79 Miu Miu shades.

Behind womenswear is menswear. There's a lot of denim, tees and long and short sleeved button-down shirts from brands like Penguin, Ben Sherman, Vans and RVCA, not to mention shades, pocket squares, and other accessories men need to look dapper.

But now, ladies and gentlemen, now we enter Nordstrom's oasis: shoes! We reckon there are about 10,000 of them, and each size has at least an aisle and a half dedicated to it. That's right, size 6 and 7s, you may just be able to find some cute mules or sliders to rock. This is one section, tucked way in the back, that you can definitely get sucked into whether you're a man or a woman. Just let it happen.
