What to Expect from Friday and Saturday's Gilt City Warehouse Sale

Prices are as low as $15, so stock up on Kate Spade, Zac Posen, and tons of other designer goods.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Ok, so the Gilt City Warehouse sale is possibly the biggest sample-style sale Miami will see throughout the entire year (in sheer square footage and publicity) but it's definitely something you shouldn't tackle aimlessly. We mean, what other sale do you have to buy tickets for?

We checked out the sale before it opens to the public tonight at 7pm, and took notes of what brands you'll find and how low the prices really are. The sale takes place in SpaceBy3, a red brick venue on the outside with a white interior and vaulted ceilings. Thoughts when you first walk in will include, "Geez! This is such a great venue for a wedding" and "Holy lord, where do I start." When you first walk in you'll enter a lounge with couches, a La Marca prosecco and Dark Horse wine bar, a Palm Breeze spritzers station, and plenty of other goodies.

Turn left for shoes. There's a whole table dedicated to boots and each size foot has an entire row dedicated to it. As any seasoned shoe shopper will know, though, the best styles belong to those above a size 7. We spotted a pair of Sam Edelman sandals for $25, stacked Prada sandals for $195, Alexandra Birman pumps for $179 and tons of House of Harlow espadrilles for $45 (and there's a discount at the register!). Other brands include Cole Haan, Tabitha Simons, Oscar de la Renta, Schutz, and so, so much more. There's a small selection of dress shoes and boat shoes for men and we even spotted a pair of Sperry's for $15!

Once you're done with the shoes, there's a room dedicated to accessories, children's clothing, and bedding, with an indoor garden where Zyrtec is doing makeovers to fix everyone's "allergy face." In that same room, there's a small table for purses where you'll find mostly boxy styles. We noted a few classic Kate Spade styles under $150, not to mention some Marc by Marc Jacobs bags and other cute schoolgirl-style bags in different colors priced at $70. Next to that, Real Housewife Lea Black is selling her bedazzled clutches, and a source tells us they're discounted at half off today. Also in this room is a small rack for children's clothing and a table for kid's shoes, a table with lesser known brands of jewelry and bins of lingerie and swimwear, and a whole table dedicated to bed linens. We saw a few sets that were under $100.

Now that we have that covered, we'll get to the clothing located on the other side of the lounge. It's divided into sizes and styles, from extra small to large, with evening wear mixed in with daywear. There are at least two rows of small sizes, but you'd be lucky to find more than two of each thing. Prices range from $25 for lesser known brands, to the mid-hundreds for big names. We spotted a $79 Sandro trench, $85 printed Kate Spade tops, $105 Marni and $50 Tibi brocade pants, a $125 Cynthia Rowley dress, and rows upon rows of amazing dresses, skirts, tops, and jackets from Oscar de la Renta, BCBG, Zac Posen and more.

Whether you're in the 7:00 group or the 9:30, you're bound to find a few good steals here, just make sure to get there early. There's only a few items of each inside, so put your game faces on. Here's a snippet of what you'll see.
