About a month ago, you'll remember that gay marriage became legal in Florida, and Chef Art Smith announced he'd be conducting 101 gay weddings during the South Beach Food and Wine Festival's Big Gay Ice Cream Social from 1 to 4pm at The James Royal Palm. This just in: he's tapped in Chef Ted Allen, host of Chopped, to co-host the event!
What's even better is that the chef has re-opened his Twitter contest to accept more couples looking to tie the knot or renew their vows. Just tweet him at @ChefArtSmith and use the hashtag #101GayWeddings to win yourself a nuptial party catered by some of Miami's best restaurants like Eating House, Black Brick, and MC Kitchen. Like we mentioned, Duff Goldman from Ace of Cakes is providing after ceremony desserts and, according to Twitter, porn director, DJ and drag queen diva Chichi LaRue will be spinning the tracks along with DJ Tracy Young.
We'll be there to cover the whole shebang, so check back after the festival for a full, fabulous and love-filled gallery.
