By day Justin Ewing is a desktop support analyst for Univision, but by late afternoon (when the light is really good) he is the beautographer for local fashion blog Le Prettystellar, run by Joselin Reyes. The two have been a long-time pair, so this Valentine's Day, they're keeping it low key. "For Valentine's day, we're going to keep it pretty minimal and go to a cute romantic Italian spot called Soya e Pomodoro in Downtown," says Joselin. "It's our seventh year spending Valentine's Day together!"
This year is a first of many for Miami photographer Gabriel Sanchez and his blogging girlfriend Daniela Ramirez of Nany's Klozet. It's the first year the two celebrate Valentine's Day as a married pair! This February they're braving a freezing fashion week, so we'll assume their huddling up together between street style snaps and shows.
When Gil Enrique Matos isn't enrolling students as New York Film Academy's Director of Enrollment and Business Affairs, he's snapping pictures of his girlfriend, local blogger Jana Rose Carrero of OJ and Cigs, all around the country from New York to Puerto Rico and back to Miami, or raving about the Patriots and salsa legends. This year, they're focusing on the small things. "Gil and I don't really make elaborate plans for Valentine's Day," says Jana, "but we feel it's important to cherish each other's company with a dinner date and and an exchange of small gifts. It's more about taking time out to make each other feel special and loved."
According to D'ana Nunez of Collections and Volumes, her boyfriend Parris Pierce is the ultimate creative, from music production to videography to graphic design. That explains D'ana's crazy, movie-trailer quality blog videos. These two are keeping it simple as well. "We plan to stay in, catch up on any new episodes of our favorite shows and eat pizza," D'ana says. "And that's what I love most about him. That creatively we're insane yet we strive to live very minimally."
