Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
For all those who live for chic stationary sets, designer writing tools, and desk accessories for days, we've just spotted your new go-to place for all things writing and reading. And if you enjoy a cup of joe with a French pastry, we've got you covered too.
The Scarlet Letter is bringing a new concept to town (or Aventura Mall). It's a bookstore , stationary haven, and coffee bar. Maybe you're looking for a new coffee table book to furnish your living room. Maybe you just want a cappuccino and a macaron to top off your afternoon. Curl up and get cozy on one of its leather couches that line the store and let the day pass by.
On the other corner of the shop, you can find all things stationary. Notepads, journals, and sketchbooks line the shelves with desk accessories for days. From Kate Spade bow paper clips to Hugo Boss notebooks and state of the art Lamy pens, your desk will have a style of its own after a visit here. (We mean, who can resist bow paper clips?) This part of the store also offers custom everything, like invitations, greeting cards, and more. And you can have it all in one day because of course, this paradise of a store offers in-house printing.
Finally, the last corner of The Scarlet Letter houses a Nespresso coffee bar where you can satisfy your caffeine cravings as well as your sweet tooth. When you're done glamming up your desk and picking out a cool, new book, relax with a perfect cup of java.
Expect more from this shop as soon as next year. It has plans to reveal an outside patio for guests to work or just hangout with free wifi. For now though, you can just pop in and peruse all of their stylin' treasures.
