Wednesday, November 18th

DOWNTOWN—The Miami Book Fair has arrived again! Head this way for everything you need to know about navigating the fair this year, which runs through Sunday, November, 22nd.

CORAL GABLES—To get over hump day, try a little shopping and wine. Local online workwear site Yuppie is hosting a special Holiday Trunk Show from 6pm-8pm this Wednesday to get you in the holiday spirit. Thursday, November 19th

CORAL GABLES—Christmas is arriving early this year, because Miami Heat's own Shane Battier is hosting Merrick Park's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event is free and open to the public and will feature performances by the Miami Royal Ballet and the Coral Gables Senior High School Choir. Plus, there will be live entertainment with stilt walkers and jugglers. The event runs from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and the Tree Lighting will begin at 7:45pm. BAL HARBOUR — This Thursday, show your support for Venezuela at Scoop NYC at Bal Harbour Shops. Hosted by fashion designer Gabriela Cadena, Alegria Beracasa and Edison Lozada, the event will donate 10 percent of all the night's sales to the I Love Venezuela foundation. Customers, too, will receive 10 percent off their purchases, and the event runs from 6 to 8pm.

AVENTURAIf you're one of those people who get started on their holiday shopping months before,Tory Burch has got the event just for you. It will be hosting a huge holiday shopping event this Thursday at Aventura Mall. Customers will enjoy 30 percent off purchases of $250 and up, and all your other buys will get 10 percent off. Saturday, November 21st

COCONUT GROVE—If you followed our advice in last week's "Listings" and made your own DIY hat, then it's essential you attend The Mad Hatter Arts Festival this Saturday. Celebrating it's 11th year, the festival will feature different kinds of artists as well as an artisan and vintage marketplace. There will be music, food, a drum circle, and a chance to show off your hat in various contests. After the day's activities, return to The Barnacle at 6pm for a special screening of Alice in Wonderland. The movie begins at 7pm with no entry after 7:15pm. Tickets are $5 per person for ages 6 and over; $3 for ages 2-5; and free for ages under 2. You'll probably be wearing a fabulous hat, but don't be fashionably late. Head this way for more info. HOLLYWOOD—Travel back to the past this weekend with the Camelot Days Medieval Festival. The kingdom will be full of musicians, artisans, eateries, knights and jesters. You can shop for handcrafted treasures in the artist's market while you feast like a king or queen on hearty food and drink. And remember that living chess scene in Harry Potter? There will be one of those here plus jousting. The past will come to life at 10am and will end November 22nd at 5:30pm. You can get your tickets at the venue for $15 or buy them for $12 online here. LITTLE HAITIAre you an aspiring artist trying to get your foot through the door? If so, we've found just the door you're looking for. The two-hour fashion show begins at 2pm, and you’ll get a chance to meet the designer, Mary Alice Haney as you mix and mingle like a socialite.
