Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Nothing goes better with a Gitman shirt than a nice clean shave and trim, and Supply & Advise can offer you just that. The Racked 38-approved menswear shop has opened a barbershop on the second floor of its historic Downtown digs, and it feels like the ultimate "tonsorial parlor of yesteryear."
Picture an all white setting with subway tile walls, black and white hexagonal and mosaic tile flooring, deep oak cabinetry, and lush antique chairs. Services range from a simple beard trim for $15 to a straight razor shave for $50, or for a buzz cut for $20 to a haircut for $45. The barbershop is open from Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm, so grab yourself a glass of Scotch from the adjacent in-store bar, sit back, and let the manscaping begin.
