Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you thought Target's previous collection with Peter Pilotto was on print overload, get a glimpse of their next collection: a full 250 piece set with Lilly Pulitzer, slated to launch on April 19. This collection hits close to home. After all, Pulitzer is a Palm Beach native (check out what kitschy items were sold from her estate last year) and her brightly printed shift dresses, tunics and prep-wear are synonymous with the affluent snowbirds that frequent the country clubs, golf courses, and beaches of the area.
The collaboration is made up of apparel (in plus sizes too!), sandals, bags, hair ties and even goods for the home, outdoor, entertaining, beach, travel and so, so much more at prices that are way below what you'd normally find for these fast-fashion designer collabs. Price tags will run between $2 and $150, with almost 200 items under $30. Our friends at Racked attended the NYC preview last night and in their review, they mentioned they were "impressed by the sturdiness of the dresses—less so by the flimsy coverups—and charmed by the barware, which includes cocktail stirrers topped by tiny gold pineapples." Check it out for yourself with Racked's full, colorful, cheerful gallery, here.
