IKEA Miami to Open on August 27; Lineup Starts Two Days Prior

IKEA Miami is opening in just under one month! The store is slated to welcome in customers as early as 9am on Wednesday, August 27, however those customers who are seriously coveting an Arvika swivel chair or a Malm dresser chest can begin lining up 48 hours in advance. This is seriously more intense than lining up for Lady Gaga tickets.

We previously reported that there will be nearly 1,500 parking spaces (this includes those that will be stolen by frantic Dolphin Mall shoppers during the holidays), 44 room-settings that will tempt you to add every item with a funky Swedish spelling on your list, a fun children's play area with IKEA-approved supervising adults included, 10,000 exclusively designed items, the largest rooftop solar panel system in all of South Florida, and a 600-seat restaurant. Let's hope those Swedish meatballs never run out.
