John Varvatos has officially opened his second Miami location at Bal Harbour Shops. The menswear store resemble a classic yet luxe New York uptown apartment (Varvatos' New York apartment, to be exact) with exposed white brick walls, detailed crown moldings and vintage furniture that Varvatos himself selected from around the world.
The focus on this shop is on tailored clothing and sportswear, and it's a sure shot that you'll find shoes, men's accessories like his watch collaboration with Ernst Benz and deluxe audio equipment. (His whole brand revolves around rock music. He recently threw a surprise KISS concert for his customers in New York)! Right now, you can find his Spring collection in the store, but come the end of May he'll be showcasing a few pieces from his Fall '14 collection as well.
Something you may not know is that you can purchase the intimate photography on the walls, which features music royalty from the 60s onward. In an interview with Bal Harbour Shops, Varvatos reveals that, aside from being a designer and a radio show host on Sirius XM, he's a huge art enthusiast, and plans to have rotating gallery shows every 60 days or so to constantly give locals a fresh shop to walk into. He also mentions he's a furniture aficionado, and plans to release his own line of home goods some day. If it gives us the chance to feel like we've booked at the Chelsea, we'll start stringing our guitars.
