For 21 years Ocean Drive has been acting as the envoy to the lives of Miami's elite, following them from party to party and defining what both they, and we, wear and do in this city. On the hem of their May issue, which boasts Shakira on the cover, and the cusp of their July/August swimsuit edition, the staff took some time to let us in on their daily office attire. In true Ocean Drive fashion, we walked into an office buzzing with the sound of hairdryers, as Rik Rak Salon's top stylists tamed the strays and one of Nordstrom's Dolce and Gabbana team members did up their faces.

We were affirmed that this wasn't a typical day at the office, however one look at their impeccable wardrobes made us skeptical. Although relatively laidback, Ocean Drive's office attire is as casually corporate chic as Miami gets; the guys live in well-tailored blazers over denim and the ladies flaunt colorful, silky basics paired with fierce footwear, be they sandals or stilettos. For your weekly office outfit inspiration, here are what five of Ocean Drive's most fashionable officemates work in.

Jared Shapiro, Editor-In-Chief, is wearing Heritage by Martin Greenfield shirt and jacket , Theory tie, G-Star jeans, and Dolce and Gabbana shoes.

Where do you like to shop in Miami?
In Miami we have so many different options. Bal Harbour Shops gives me just the right touch of fancy, but if I'm brave and dare venture onto Lincoln Road I can hit up Varvatos and G-star in a thirty minute lap and still have time for a shot at Nespresso.

You're planning the ultimate Miami fashion spread. What does it look like?
Beautiful people where the latest in fashion blends with the local Miami environment. We recently shot a fashion story at the PAMM. It was beautiful and I think the first fashion shoot they've done there. I want you to stare at the pages of Ocean Drive forever.

What's the one fashion trend you really like now, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
I love personally and individually tailored suits, pants, shirts, for men right now. A lot of men are embracing expertly designed suits and items that fit perfectly to reflect your style and personality.

Who is the most fashionable person you follow on Instagram right now?
My friend Stevie the Tailor, who is a Miami native, custom designs my suits and shirts for me under the Heritage by Martin Greenfield brand, and he also designs the suits for Boardwalk Empire, Wolf of Wall Street, The Great Gatsby and a ton of celebrities, politicians and athletes like Lebron James. I love his take on style, how to tie a tie, what kind of pocket square to wear but, more importantly, I prefer when he "likes" one of my photos.

What's the most imperative style tip you need to follow in Miami?
Be ready for everything. Champagne can flow everywhere from a private bash on Star Island to a clambake on the beach, to a party in Wynwood or celebrating a Heat win at AA arena or Story. So your clothes have to be able to say 'yes' to whatever the moment is.

Cristina Parra, Event & Marketing Manager, is wearing an Iro jacket and Alexis shirt and pants, all from Jessie Boutique. She is wearing YSL shoes and a shiny new engagement ring.

Where do you like to shop in Miami?
ZARA, Intermix, Sephora, Alchemist- all conveniently within a 5-mile radius of our offices.

You're planning the ultimate Miami fashion spread. What does it look like?
My fashion spread would be shot in Wynwood. I love the vibrant colors in this city so my backdrop would be a cool, street graffiti mural. Models would be wearing asymmetrical architectural trends and roller skates, just because.

What's the one fashion trend you really like now, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
Love the crop top trend, so fun for Miami. Not so much into the cut off shorts with exposed pockets. #Fail.

What's one item of clothing you never want to see your boyfriend or girlfriend wear?
Cargo Shorts... Never trust a guy in cargo shorts, what are you hiding in all those pockets!?

Who is the most fashionable person you follow on Instagram right now?
[Arielle Nachmani], an NYC blogger, has THE best style.

What's the most imperative style tip you need to follow in Miami?
Don't compromise style for comfort.

Bill Kearney, Deputy Editor, is wearing an Isaia jacket, Hugo Boss shirt, Simon Spurr jeans, Shinola watch and To Boot New York shoes.

Where do you like to shop in Miami?
Base, Supply & Advise, Atrium, Barneys.

You're planning the ultimate Miami fashion spread. What does it look like? It's set in the wilds of the Everglades. Each spread is a mirror image. On one side is a man and woman done up in super-chic evening attire, on the other they're in the same pose in the same place in swimwear. Imagine them on an airboat; in a cypress swamp; in an open field; fishing on a dock. But they would NOT be holding the fishing rods upside down—that's a fashion editorial pet peeve of mine.

What's the one fashion trend you really like now, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
Men's suits with shorts. I applaud the effort, but it's too much effort for me.

What's one item of clothing you never want to see your girlfriend wear? Acid-wash, distressed mom jeans. And if there's an elastic waistband, I'm out.

Who is the most fashionable person you follow on Instagram right now? Luisa Jimenez. She's local.

What's the most imperative style tip you need to follow in Miami?
Don't try to be "Miami." there's enough of that going around. Be a man of the world.

Julia Ford-Carther, Assistant Editor, is wearing a Generation Love jacket, Rory Beca tank and Alice & Olivia pants, all found at Jessie Boutique. She is wearing McQ shoes.

Where do you like to shop in Miami?
I dig Jessie Boutique on Alton. They carry all the right brands and pieces to satisfy my cravings for New York edge. Also, I know I can always score great and unique finds at W The Store at the W South Beach.

You're planning the ultimate Miami fashion spread. What does it look like?
Miami fashion? What's that? (Wink).

What's the one fashion trend you really like now, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
The single-sole pump. So glad that's making a comeback. It's good to class it up a bit, although you'll still find me teetering around in my 6-inch platforms from time to time. Now, let's talk bandage dresses. This is less "trend," more tragedy. What I want to know is, when will the wound heal so we can take the bandages off?

What's one item of clothing you never want to see your boyfriend or girlfriend wear?
Meggings (men's jeggings/leggings) would be a relationship dealbreaker. 100 percent.

What's the most imperative style tip you need to follow in Miami?
In a town characterized by more is more, understated style will actually make a bigger statement. Strive to stand out by streamlining your chic.

Who is the most fashionable person you follow on Instagram right now?
Marissa Webb, designer of her eponymous contemporary line, as well as the new Creative Director at Banana Republic. I want every item in her wardrobe. MichellePetrillo_1.jpg

Michelle Petrillo, Assistant Distribution and Social Media Manager, is wearing a Christopher Kane dress, found at Oxygene Boutique, Sam Edelman shoes, and Rose Gonzales jewelry.

Where do you like to shop in Miami?
Oxygene Bal Harbour. Shayne, the owner, has an eye for impeccable pieces that wear like works of art.

You're planning the ultimate Miami fashion spread. What does it look like?
With all of the architectural history on Miami Beach, I would choose an Art Deco inspired spread, shot at my favorite beach gem, The Gale Hotel.

What's the one fashion trend you really like now, and which would you never be caught dead trying?
I'm really into the whole pairing Nikes with on-trend fashion ensembles. My job has me constantly on the go, so if the shoe fits! I do not understand the Birkenstock trend. Tourist meets camping chic?

What's one item of clothing you never want to see your boyfriend or girlfriend wear?
A fedora. Nope, never.

Who is the most fashionable person you follow on Instagram right now?
Negin Mirsalehi, a fashion blogger from Amsterdam. She is my spirit animal.

What's the most imperative style tip you need to follow in Miami?
Shop year-round for Art Basel. You're going to need 18 outfits for 4 days. No, really.
