Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
AVENTURA— On Saturday, May 3, supermodel Petra Nemcova will be launching her latest candle collection, Be The Light New York. You'll have the chance to meet her, schmooze her up about how pretty she is and then snap a few selfies. Not familiar with her? No bigs. You should still check out her candles though. They're made out of soy wax, blended with natural oils and made in the grand ole U.S.A. Sounds like a good Mother's Day Gift, no? [Racked Inbox]
COCONUT GROVE— It's that time of the month again: Fashion Art and Music Night at the Grove. Unlike Second Saturdays at Wynwood, you can actually spread your arms out at this outdoor event. Step into BAZAAR, a boutique that sells goods and crafts from across the globe. They're having a trunk show for Pure of Heart, an eco-friendly brand that donates its proceeds to an autism center. [Racked Inbox]
EVERYWHERE— Not sure what to buy for spring and summer yet? Head over to Ann Taylor. Through Sunday, the womenswear store will be hosting an in-store event where you'll get to scope out their new collection with your own personal stylist. Treats and gifts will be given, including a chance to win a getaway bag packed with EOS and Ann Taylor goods. Chapped lips, be gone! [Racked Wire]
BRICKELL— Fashion, pastries, CHAMPAGNE?!?! Head over to Miami River Walk (behind Brickell on the River) for Brickell Fashion Market's "Spring into Style." bazaar. There will be tons of up-and-coming designers selling clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, so if you're looking for a mother's day that's unique, this might be a good stop.
