Sawgrass Mills is big, but America's largest outlet mall is about to get BIGGER. Last Tuesday, the mall's developers got the gates lifted by Sunrise city officials to build three buildings north of the crown jewel of the mall, The Colonnade Outlets. This means we're getting roughly 82,000 square feet of additional retail, restaurant and restroom space, according to the Sun Sentinel.

No date has been set for the completion, but we do have some news to entertain you until then. Miami.com announced that Diesel, Catimini and OndadeMar had opened its doors over the weekend, which is spectacular news if you're in the market for Diesel duds (it's the only outlet in Florida), children's wear and beachwear. As for the aforementioned project, don't expect it any time soon. They can't break ground on that until they finish up a much needed parking garage on Sawgrass' grounds.

Update: Diesel's outlet store in Sawgrass Mills is the only Diesel outlet in South Florida. There is another location in Orlando, Florida.
