Image Via PolyvoreIn a city where what you wear to the beach is as important as what you wear to a party— or, more likely, said party is at the beach— we simply had delve into the world of beachwear to find out what stylish coverups and swimsuits will be populating our sandy shores. We asked Jeannette Nicole and Lyanne Marie, the sister duo behind Nic del Mar, one of the fabulous shops on the Racked 38, what their spring favorites are this year, and we found out a whole lot of crochet and high necks are blooming. The Polyvore board above is just a little taste, but you can see all of their picks, including links and prices, after the jump.
Florals: The one trend that seems to be blooming the most this year is florals. "These prints are are bold and bright but always feminine," says Lyanne. "They come in a variety of colors and sizes and mix in great with solids and other prints."
High-neck halters: "Anything with a high neck halter— swimwear, dresses, tops— is really in right now. And while you're mostly covered up in the front, they almost always feature a low, sexy back."
Crochet and lace: "Crochet and lace is always on trend, but this year we're seeing even more of it in swimwear, coverups and ready-to-wear. It's timeless and feminine, and always look rich no matter the price. Our personal favorite piece is the Anna Kosturova Tassel Sarong. It's versatile- you can wear it in the summer as a coverup or fall as a shawl. It's a beautiful piece that should be in every woman's closet."
