Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
MIAMI BEACH — Lazy Sundays at The Standard are back, and to bring it in with style they've teamed up with Sundek for a full-on trunk show. Browse through boardshorts, swim suits, tees and accessories for men and women, as you enjoy a finger-lickin' barbecue and music by DJ Cassinelli from 3 to 8pm on March 16. RSVP is required, which you can do here, and about the only drawback we see is how much you're gonna hate Monday after all the fun you'll have had being so "lazy."
SOUTH BEACH — Saturdays should be your chance to recharge your weekly battery, which is why The James Royal Palm is the place to be this March 15. Start the day off with a FlyBarre pop-up class at 11am, and recharge with bites from Florida Cookery and OnJuice inspired cocktails. When you're done, the staff at renew the spa will be waiting for you with arms wide open, ready to indulge you in some express treatments, including cooling masks, eye treatments and hand massages. As a bonus, you'll receive a $25 credit to the spa. RSVP is required, so sign up here.
PLANTATION — Not sure what to do with those hardly worn dresses you bought for wedding season last year? Donate them. On Saturday, March 15, Becca's Closet and WKIS Kiss Country will be hosting a prom dress drive from 11am to 2pm at The Fountains (801 South University Drive). There, you can drop off your gently used cocktail attire, prom dresses and any evening accessories so that some lucky lady can get a chance to go to prom in style. Can't make it? Donations will be accepted until March 22 at Lime Fresh Mexican Grill.
