Looks like the dreaded construction that's subconsciously (or very consciously) keeping you from shopping anywhere on Alton Road may run its course earlier than expected. According to Miami New Times, the project could be completed as early as December of this year, which is seven months before the expected summer 2015 completion. So, YAY! to less suede-damaging street floods in our ever sinking South Beach, thanks to the additional underground pumps being built, and an even bigger YAY to no longer taking thirty minutes to drive ten blocks on that West Avenue detour.
