The Aventura Mall of the future may require you to wear comfortable walking shoes which, conveniently, you can find in one of their 40 shoe-selling stores. An article by Miami Today reveals that the mall may be undergoing a 241,000-square-foot expansion in the area between Macy's and JCPenney.
This would make Aventura the second largest mall in the U.S., right behind the massive King of Prussia mall in Philly and before the famed Mall of America (if only we were getting a massive theme park too). Thankfully, the expansion proposal also includes adding 1,400 new parking spaces, which means that you may actually be able to find a spot at the rooftop of the Bloomingdale's garage during the holiday season now.
And a source also reveals that Sephora may be closing at the end of the month. We weren't able to claw out any more details about either the expansion or beauty store closing, but not to worry. We have our antennas up.
Update: A PR rep for Aventura reveals that Sephora will not be closing at the end of the month.
