Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Bal Harbour Shops just keeps getting better, but you'll have to have a bit of patience. This week, Chloé, Bulgari and Tiffany & Co. opened new boutiques in time for Basel. Books & Books did as well, launching its newly expanded third floor shop with a book signing by Diane Von Furstenberg, who we chatted with at the event. Also open is Buccellati's fifth standalone outpost in the U.S., selling fine jewelry and watches in a quaint 720-square-foot space. Recently, The Webster debuted it's menswear store, and we must say it's quite snazzy.
Many openings, on the other hand, have been seriously delayed. For starters, the newly renovated Intermix store was supposed to have been revealed today, however a store employee mentioned it may not open until the beginning of January. Same goes for Hillstone. We originally reported it would be opening this month, however the opening date has been pushed back until January.
We also mentioned Richard Mille would be opening in January, however a press release stated that it wouldn't be opening until April. Thomas Maier is slated to open in June 2015, not spring. Also happening in 2015? Expanded concept stores for Valentino and La Perla and a new Giorgio Armani store. For now, we can anticipate Bal Harbour's next big opening, the third U.S. location for Dsquared2.
