Remember that time the Carters decided to shut down the Louvre? More importantly, remember that Amazonian-inspired diamond ring Beyonce wore when she threw the deuces up to Mona Lisa? That ring was from Messika Jewelry, a Parisian-based fine jewelry brand that just launched in the U.S. last week, with Miami at the starting line.
The brand itself was founded in 2005 by Valerie Messika, however her diamond-studded journey didn't start there. She tells stories of playing with diamonds as a kid, not dolls, (because that's what happens when your dad is in the French diamond trade). Messika is best known for its signature "Move" piece , which contains a long, ladyfinger-shaped open container, and three moving diamonds within meant to represent love now, today, and tomorrow. Currently the brand produces jewelry, bridal jewelry, and fine jewelry, and can be found in seven cities across the U.S., two of those being in Florida. Shop Messika at Neiman Marcus at Bal Harbour Shops and at Mayors in Dadeland and in Town Center at Boca Raton.
