Sawgrass Mills is making it virtually impossible to walk there in heels. The outlet mall (which if you didn't know is already the largest outlet mall in the country) has just begun construction on a new addition to The Colonnade Outlets, which will bring 30 additional luxury outlet stores and restaurants to the east end near Fashion Row.
"This expansion will be a win-win for shoppers who will have access to more than 60 exclusive brands not found anywhere else in Miami, Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach, including Armani, Jimmy Choo and Diesel," says Luanne Lenberg, the Vice President and General Manager at the store, "while at the same time it will be a coup for South Florida to attract more visitors to stay longer and spend more in the area."
Sawgrass already has about 350 value stores and eateries both inside the mall and outside in The Colonnade Outlets, with brands that range from J.Crew to David Yurman and Forever21 to Saks OFF 5TH. Just this year alone AllSaints, Diesel and OndadeMar have opened, and Coach and Kate Spade have expanded. Construction is set to be completed in 2016, but there's no word yet on who the tenants will be.
