Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Switch off that Housewives rerun and really treat yourself to something good this evening. Local designer Daniela Swaebe will be showcasing her collection of fine jewelry tonight on HSN at 10 p.m. (Alright, she was on earlier, but if you're shopping on HSN at 7 a.m., you may have a problem). She'll be showcasing 21 different pieces, three of which she designed exclusively for her HSN debut (see the image above).
Between her intricately textured gold ring and earrings and her leaf-designed necklace and bracelet, it's clear that her collection is heavily inspired by nature. However the fact that they're all a gleaming gold and are sprinkled with jeweled embellishments adds a sort of bold glamour that's unmistakable.
The pieces she'll be selling are all under $100, but if you're strapped for cash there are payment plans for some of the designs. Everything is available online now, but what's the fun of shopping on HSN if you're not feeling the adrenaline of watching it happen on the big screen?
