Cuban designer Oscar Garcia Lopez will be a competitor on Lifetime's latest fashion competition, Under the Gunn, hosted by everyone's favorite Project Runway mentor, Tim Gunn. The show is similar to Project Runway, in that Garcia Lopez will compete against 14 other contestants for a chance to win $100,000, his own sewing studio, a spread in Marie Claire magazine and a trip to Paris.
According to his bio on Lifetime, Garcia Lopez "has a loyal clientele of Miami society ladies" who flock to his Coral Gables design studio, Ozcar G. Couture, whenever they need a custom-designed, elaborate evening gown. The show premiers tonight at 9 p.m., so tune in to see if this local designer can "make it work" or fold under the pressure.
