Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

And now, ladies, the moment you've all been waiting for: Free People is opening in Miami! The hippie-esque clothing and accessories brand will be opening not one, but two stores in our city: the first in Dadeland Mall on January 31 and the second on Collins Avenue on February 28th.

"The city is full of creative individuals whose style speaks directly to the brand," says Beth Wehagen, Free People Director of Retail. "Free People has long felt ties with Miami and its eclectic beach vibe."

The Free People in Dadeland Mall will consist of 2,500 square-feet of glittering plaster walls, reclaimed wooden floors and quilted patchwork accents while the 2,600-square-foot Free People in South Beach is keeping with the art deco vibe of the area. Both locations will open with Free People's Spring 2014 Collection, which includes rompers, high waisted denim, and the crochet and flowing dresses that the brand is so known for. You'll also be able to find other Free People labels, like Intimately Free People, New Romantics, FP ONE, FP X, We The Free and more.

We've been waiting long enough for a Free Poeple to sprout up in town and, baby, it's about damn time.
