Del Toro is adding his signature luxe edge to a fall staple: booties. The Miami-based shoe designer, who's most famous for his sultry slippers, has just released four edgy booties to his collection of women's shoes. The shoes come in striking cobalt or gold leather, as well as a more sultry merlot or black pony hair style. They definitely add that urban edge that wooden heels do so seamlessly, but are glamorous enough to take you from Wynwood to South Beach without ever changing into stilettos.
It's actually the highest heel he's created yet at two inches, when you consider that most of his ladies shoes are simply more feminine versions of his men's line (think chukkas and wing tips). They're handmade in Italy with a functional gold zipper, leather lining and a leather sole with red stripes. The collection is available online, in Del Toro's Wynwood boutique and in the brand's Miami Beach pop-up shop, which will be open until March. So if you're looking for one final fall-inspired purchase of the year, then invest in these tough little pops of luxury and color.
