It was about time Macy's expanded their lineup of celebrity designers. The department store has just announced a partnership with Mexican mega-star Thalía to produce an exclusive women's line titled Thalía Sodi. The collection will include dresses, tops, pants, shoes and jewelry for now, and will be available online and in 300 Macy's stores nationwide in the Spring of 2015.
According to the press release, the clothing will be "based on Thalía's viewpoint and lifestyle," and she will be heavily involved in the marketing and promotion of the line. "I am very excited and honored to partner with Macy's, an iconic American brand that believes in our community, to launch a collection that will be fabulous, fun and flirty - truly representative of who I am as a Latina," says the singer, actress, author and recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. This is not the first time Thalía has ventured into the fashion world. In 2003 she launched a now defunct line for Kmart under the same name. Let's hope customers show a little more amor a la Mexicana to make her Macy's collab a mainstay.
