Del Toro To Launch a Basel Pop-Up, New Collab, And Block Party

Del Toro is pulling out all the stops for Art Basel this year with the grand opening their Miami Beach pop-up shop, the launch of their collaboration with sunglass brand Italia Independent and the block party of the century (for your feet, at least).

The Miami Beach pop-up will open on December 4 and will run through March 2014. You'll be able to purchase the Del Toro X Italia Independent collaboration there, which includes matching cobalt and navy suede and velvet wayfarers and chukkas.

And if you're looking for the perfect place to don them, then add the 3rd annual Del Toro Block Party to your Basel calendar on December 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. On display will be original hand-painted shoes designed by 50 artists from across the globe, along with wall murals painted by the who's-who in the art world, gourmet barbecue bites and live entertainment. They've kept the identity of their performers under wraps, but with artists like Kanye sporting the slippers and lace-ups, who's to say they won't knock us off our feet?
